Two AFP SSPs recommended to be promoted to DIGs



KATHMANDU: The committee that recommends Armed Police Force (APF) officials for promotion has forwarded names of two Senior Superintendents of Police (SSPs) to two vacant posts of Deputy Inspector General (DIG).

SSPs Kalidas Dhaibaji and Kumar Neupane have been recommended to be promoted as DIGs.

The committee’s Member Secretary Additional Inspector General (AIG) Ram Sharan Poudel said a meeting of the committee held on Tuesday decided to make the recommendations and complaints regarding the recommendations could be submitted within 7 days.

They two SSPs had joined AFP from Nepal Police as technical Sub-inspectors and were ahead in the rankings for consideration of promotion. After joining AFP, they had turned to non-technical officials.
