Naso rural municipality’s ward chair dies of cardiac arrest



MANANG: The ward chair of Naso rural municipality-5 in Manang died of cardiac arrest on Monday.

The 50-year-old Chhiring Gyalpo Punel who had won the local election from the Nepali Congress seat was the Spokesperson for the local government as well. He breathed his last amidst the treatment at the District Hospital, Lamjung.

He suffered a heart attack as he was on the way to home from Kathmandu. The Ward Chair returned to Besisahar on Sunday from Kathmandu where he had gone for official works and was staying at a hotel where he collapsed all of a sudden on Monday.

According to Chandra Ghale, chairman of the rural municipality, the local representative was rushed to the District Hospital, Lamjung from the Besisahar-based hotel for treatment.

The hospital received him at 10: 50 am and he died at around 12:00 noon, hospital administrator Hemant Shrestha said.
