Amir of Qatar envisions vaccination for all inhabitants of planet



KATHMANDU: Qatari Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani has emphasized concerted efforts to make possible vaccination for all inhabitants of planet Earth as the coronavirus pandemic continues to throw the lives and destinies of humankind out of gear.

Addressing the main session of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF 2021) held on June 4 in St. Petersburg, Russia, Amir Al-Thani said the international community should contribute to finding effective solutions to common economic challenges.

The Amir said that the international community needed to work together in the field of education, health, transportation, research, small and medium enterprises, among others, to strengthen the values of innovation, work and production, by promoting common human values and, thus, build the necessary potentials to fight the pandemic and overcome other global problems as well.

The Amir also expressed gratitude to the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin for inviting the State of Qatar as the guest State at SPIEF.

Argentinian President Alberto Fernandez, Brazil President Jair Bolsonaro, and Chancellor of Austria HE Sebastian Kurz were participating at the forum.
