Police administration takes action against DSP Khadka for unruly activities



KATHMANDU: Nepal Police has taken action against Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Deepak Khadka of Metropolitan Police Station, Sohrakhutte, for violating the police code of conduct.

Metropolitan Police Office, Rani Pokhari, has transferred Khadka to Metropolitan Police Range, Teku, effective Sunday. Chief of Kathmandu Metropolitan Police Range SSP Ashok Singh confirmed action against DSP Khadka. “We have also received information about the action,” said SSP Singh.

DSP Khadka is accused of extorting money from night businesses operating in Thamel area.

The Metropolitan Police Office, Ranipokhari, dispatched an investigation team to look into Khadka’s affairs after receiving repeated complaints against him and proceeded with the action.

The Metropolitan Police Office is also questioning Khadka’s performance.
