Denmark to provide 1.4 million AstraZeneca vaccines to Nepal



KATHMANDU: The government of Denmark has pledged to provide 1.4 million doses of AstraZeneca coronavirus vaccine to Nepal.

Denmark sent a letter to the Department of Health Services (DHS) informing about the decision, said Director Bhim Singh Tinkari, head of Logistic Management Section at DHS.

Tinkari added director-general of DHS also wrote to UNICEF Saturday evening urging the agency to facilitate supply of vaccines from Denmark. The 1.4 million vaccines are not under the Covax facility, as per Tinkari.
