KATHMANDU: The Indian Army has provided medical equipment worth Rs 240 million to the Nepal Army.
The Nepal Army received health supplies from India to Nepal in 25 trucks through Belia transit in Rupandehi.
The Nepal Army had sent a truck to India to collect the medical supplies provided by the Indian Army.
In the first phase, the Army will provide Covid-related operating headlights, auto-refractive meters, B-pad machines, ABG machines, lab microscopes, light-curing cardless, ICU ventilators, manual sprayers, virus transport media with swabs, PW-5 and RDT-NTG.
India has also provided six ambulances to the army. Although the first phase of assistance provided by the Indian Army to the Nepal Army came on Saturday, another assistance is expected to arrive in Nepal in two phases this week and next week.
Army Spokesperson Assistant Santosh Ballabh Poudyal informed that the medical supplies were brought to Nepal as part of the regular exchange of assistance between the Nepal Army and the Indian Army. Earlier, India had provided 1,00,000 vaccines to the Nepal Army.
