1,333 corona-infected patients discharged in Province-1 so far

BIRATNAGAR: As many as 1,333 people have been discharged after recovering from the coronavirus in Province 1.

With this, the total number of patients recovering from COVID-19 has reached 41,539 in the province so far.

According to the Ministry of Social Development, the province recorded 1,133 COVID-19 cases — 481 women and 652 men — on Saturday.

Likewise, 272 positive cases have been confirmed in Morang, 141 in Jhapa, 95 in Sunsari, 19 in Tehrathum, 14 in Udayapur, 4 in Dhankuta, 2 in Ilam, Sankhuwasabha, 2 in Bhojpur, 1 in Panchthar, and 10 in Province 1.

In Biratnagar, 167 people — including 86 women and 81 men — have been infected.

Likewise, 38 people have been infected in Damak, 16 in Birtamod, 14 in Bhadrapur, 11 in Mechinagar, 11 in Arjundhar, 10 in Gauriganj, 9 in Kankai, 8 in Bahardashi, 7 in Shivasatakshi, 5 in Kamal, 4 in Jhapa, 3 in Haldibari, 2 in Buddhashanti, 2 in Gauradaha and 1 in an undisclosed location.

Likewise, 45 people have been infected with coronavirus in Dharan, 20 in Itahari, 10 in Barahakhshetra, 5 in Duhabi and Nakhuleka, 3 in Inaruwa, 2 in Bhokra Narasimha, 2 in Barju, 1 each in Dewanganj, Gadhi and Ramdhuni.

Similarly, 19 people have been infected with coronavirus in Manglung of Tehrathum, 7 in Katari, 3 in Udayapur, 3 in Triyuga, 1 in Udayapur and Belka, 24 in Dhankuta, 1 in Mahalakshmi, 2 in Bhojpur, 2 in Ilam, 1 in Sankhuwasabha, 1 in Panchthar and 2 from an undisclosed location.

A total of 19,142 people are currently infected in isolation in the province.

So far, 956 people have succumbed to coronavirus in the province.
