UML leader Nepal on way to meet President in Sheetal Niwas

KATHMANDU: CPN-UML senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal is on his way to meet President Bidhya Devi Bhandari after concluding his meeting with NC President Sher Bahadur Deuba in Budhanilkantha Thursday evening.

Nepal faction of the UML has warned that they would resign en masse before the May 10 parliament session if party Chair and Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli did not rethink his moves regarding the faction and the party. PM Oli is scheduled to take a vote of confidence on May 10.

They have demanded that the party committees be restored to May 15, 2018, after the Supreme Court decision to annul the unification of Nepal Communist Party (NCP).

He is expected to talk about party’s internal rift with the President.

Earlier Thursday, PM Oli also reached Sheetal Niwas to meeting with President Bhandari.
