Nepal-Khanal faction announces Bagmati Pradesh Parallel Committee

KATHMANDU: The Madhav Kumar Nepal-led faction of the CPN-UML has announced a 175-member Bagmati Pradesh Parallel Committee led by leader Asta Laxmi Shakya.

The faction led by party senior leaders Madhav Kumar Nepal and Jhalanath Khanal has been announcing parallel committees across the country.

The co-coordinators of the parallel committee include Kedar Neupane, Arun Neupane and Pashupati Chaulagai.

Likewise, Pemba Tamang, Top Bahadur Waiba, Basanta Manandhar, Bishnu Devkota, Bishnu Lohani, Ram Prasad Adhikari and Hari Prasad Sharma are members of the committee.

The faction has announced that it would form parallel committees across the country to protest against what they say “unilateral steps” taken by Prime Minister KP Oli.
