TANAHUN: Standing Committee member of the Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Prachanda-Nepal faction Barshaman Pun ‘Ananta’ has warned Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa not to threaten them.

Speaking at a cadres’ gathering here on Saturday, Pun warned that people will drag him in the streets after the agitation is successful.

Addressing a mass assembly of the NCP KP Oli faction on Friday, Home Minister Thapa said those elements provoking people to launch “non-vegetarian” (violent) agitation will be locked up in the zoo.

Pun claimed that the current ‘regime’ would end by abusing state power and authority like the dictators of history tried to defeat those who disagree with them.

Discussing that no one thought that a party with a mandate for five years would come to the streets, Pun remarked that the party should be run on the basis of political ideas and principles.
