One killed, 22 injured in Sindhuli wedding bus mishap

SINDHULI: A man has died and 22 others sustained critical injuries after a wedding bus met with an accident in Sindhuli district.

The deceased has been identified as 25-year-old Pratap Lo of Marin rural municipality-2.

Out of the five critically injured in the accident, who were airlifted to Kathmandu on Friday, Lo breathed his last in the course of treatment at National Trauma Center.

The condition of the four undergoing treatment at the Center is critical, according to the hospital.

The 18 injured in the accident have also been sent to the Kathmandu Valley, said Paniraj Bamjan, chief of the rural municipality.

The ill-fated bus, Na 5 Ta 5346, heading to Ratomate of Marin rural municipality, carrying 34 wedding attendants from Bakhabar of Hariharpurgadhi, turned turtle on the Madan Bhandari highway, said District Police Office, Sindhuli.
