District chairs and secretaries of Oli faction meet in Dhumbarahi

KATHMANDU: The Oli faction of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) is holding a gathering of central committee (CC) members, district chairpersons and secretaries available in the Kathmandu Valley on Saturday.

The meeting is taking place at a party palace in Dhumbarahi, said a CC member close to Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.

Former Speaker of the Constituent Assembly and Standing Committee member Subas Chandra Nembang, Chief Minister of Pradesh 1 Sherdhan Rai and Law Minister Shiva Maya Tumbahamphe among others are present in the meeting.

Both the factions of the ruling NCP have intensified meetings and mass assemblies after the party was politically divided.

The dispute between the two factions has turned a new height after President Bidya Bhandari dissolved the House of Representatives (HoR) on the recommendation of the Prime Minister on December 20.
