Sub-engineer arrested with Rs 150,000 bribe



KATHMANDU: Surendra Adhikari, a sub-engineer working at the National Reconstruction Authority Project Implementation Unit (Education) in Tanahun, has been arrested with a bribe.

A team deployed from the Pokhara office of the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) arrested Adhikari with Rs 150,000 bribe, according to CIAA Spokesperson Taranath Adhikari.

The anti-graft body said that Surendra was arrested acting on a tip-off that he had demanded a bribe for a service seeker.
