Former CEC Pokharel bags social service award



KATHMANDU: Former Chief Election Commissioner Bhoj Raj Pokharel has been honored with the ‘Karmayogi Badri Prasad Pahadi Social Service Prize-2076’.

The prize established by the Human Rights and Peace Society carries a purse of Rs. 110,000 and a letter of citation.

Founding chair of the Society Krishna Pahadi presented the prize to Pokharel at a function held in the capital today.

At the function, prize recipient Pokharel donated Rs. 220,000 to Laxmi Foundation, an organization involved in service-oriented works.
