UML alerts party committees to update the voters list

KATHMANDU: Advocating for early election, main opposition CPN-UML has issued circulars to all committees to ensure that all citizens eligible for voting are included in the voters list.

In its first circular after the 10th General Convention, UML instructed all committees to compile and update the voter list at the right time.

Party General Secretary Shankar Pokhrel issued the circular on December 3 urging the local committees to update the list within days in coordination with the election offices and Election Commission.

UML Chairman KP Oli, who has always been advocating for election at the earliest, had urged all UML cadres to stay prepared for election immediately in his first address after being re-elected as party Chair.
