Only immediate hearing cases and habeas corpus to be heard during Dashain



KATHMANDU: Tuesday’s full court of the Supreme Court has decided to hold hearing on cases of habeas corpus and that require immediate hearing during the near-coming Dashain festival.

The full court of all the justices, including Chief Justice Cholendra Shumsher JB Rana, took a decision to hear cases of habeas corpus and urgent hearing in case of emergency during Dashain, said Spokesperson of the Supreme Court Baburam Dahal.

The full court also decided on the name of the justices who would continue to perform their duties even during the Dashain break. It has been decided to close all the courts across the country, including the Supreme Court, from October 7 to the day of Kojagrat Poornima on October 20.

During that period, there will be a hearing on the issue of habeas corpus and immediate hearing. (RSS)
