‘No mask: No service’ campaign launched



RAJBIRAJ: A campaign to ensure the use of a mask has been launched in Rajbiraj in view of the risk of coronavirus infection.

The campaign was launched at Gajendra Chowk today with the support of the Social Development Ministry of Province-2 government, UNICEF, and Life Nepal, Dhanusha.

The Province-2 government started distributing masks to citizens in order to protect them from coronavirus infection under the slogan ‘No mask: No service; No mask: No talk; and No mask-No entry.’

On the occasion, Social Development Minister Nabal Kishor Sah urged the people to mandatorily use the mask to be protected from coronavirus pandemic. He shared that the provincial government would provide masks to poor people free of cost.

Similarly, Chief District Officer Janardan Gautam requested the citizens to avoid crowds during Dashain, Tihar, and Chhath festivals and to continue the campaign in thoroughfares.

Different personalities including Rajbiraj Municipality Mayor Sambhu Yadav, Health Director at Province 2 Directorate, Bijay Kumar Jha, Chairperson of Nepal Red Cross Society, Jogendra Bhagat, security personnel, and representatives of different organizations were present on the occasion.

They distributed masks free of cost.
