Over 2K kids undergo eye checkup



KAVRE: More than 2,000 children have had their eyes examined in Namobuddha Municipality of the district. The eye checkup service was provided as part of the Municipality’s the Doorstep Campaign.

Municipality mayor TP Sharma Timilsina said the eye checkup campaign has been conducted after most of the children started having eye problem due to long exposure to the mobile, laptop and computer screen while attending the virtual classes following the imposition of lockdown and restriction to contain the spread of COVID-19.

The municipality ran the month-long campaign with the support of the Sewa Foundation and the Reyukai Masunaga Eye Hospital, Banepa. Eyeglasses were given to 111 children and medicines to 365 children free of cost in course of the eye checkup campaign.
