DHARAN: The Joint Struggle Committee established for the cleansing of the ‘corruption’ prevalent in Dharan-based BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences has boycotted the Out Patient Department (OPD) services from Sunday.

According to sources, the agitating doctors, students and staff have stopped the OPD service alleging that the agreement made between the Committee and the Ministry of Health has not been implemented till date.

However, the doctors have continued to provide their service to the patients visiting their agitating site at the Vice Chancellor premises.

It has been one month since the government-formed investigation task force submitted its report and the Ministry reached an agreement with the protesters.

The agitating party complained that the government has not shown any interest in taking action against the officials who were found guilty by the task force report.

The emergency services, services at COVID-19 Hospital and pre-scheduled examination will be conducted, the agitators informed.

The offices of the four officials of the Institute are padlocked.
