Federation of Public Transport Entrepreneurs announces second phase of agitation



KATHMANDU: The Central Committee of the Federation of Public Transport Entrepreneurs Nepal has announced the second phase of the agitation saying that the 11-point demand including the fare adjustment has not been met by the government.

Organizing a press conference in Kathmandu, the federation announced the second phase of the agitation and demanded transportation insurance exemption, road law, renewal of transport documents and exemption from fines.

The Federation President Dolnath Khanal said that they had to agitate as their demands were not addressed even after informing the concerned bodies.

The federation has decided to hold a sit-in at the Zonal Transport Office under Bagmati Province on September 6 and at the Transport Management Department on September 7.
