BERLIN: Candidates are being announced as the convention of the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) is approaching near. The German chapter has started work to select a new working committee.
Current president Kumar Pant and former president Jiba Lamichhane also represent the country. Similarly, Ram Pratap Thapa, Usha Sharma, Dil Gurung and other NRNA campaigners from Germany are starting to discuss about the candidate to take the lead at the International Coordinating Council level this time. There are 1,595 members. Shankar Dangi has already won the election to join the ICC.
Former ICC member Santosh Bhattarai and former German president Dr Navraj Rosyara, respectively, have announced their candidacies for the post of Europe Regional Coordinator and Deputy Coordinator for the convention, which will begin in the third week of October.
He said that this time the situation was not the same as before and his candidacy was a demand of the time and he was determined to lead the European region. Similarly, Badri KC, Kul Acharya and Rabina Thapa are vying for the post of chairperson.
Dr. Rosyara, a candidate for the post of deputy coordinator, also claims that he will win unanimously as there will be only three candidates in the final round. The names of five candidates for the post of Europe Constituency Coordinator in the October elections via electronic voting system are still being discussed. Among them are Bhattarai from Germany, Krishna Prasad Timalsina from UK, Shukraraj Neupane from Ireland, Mukta Gurung and Chintamani Sapkota from Spain.
Similarly, Dr. Rosyara from Germany, Sagar Subedi from Austria, Chitra Subedi from Belgium, Bhim Kamal KC from Portugal, Kumar Pandit from Norway, Sagar Lama from Ireland, Lalit Kumar Neupane from UK and Dayanidhi Tiwari are in the spotlight for the three posts of Deputy Coordinator.
