Central Committee meet of UML’s Nepal faction underway in Buddhanagar



KATHMANDU: The Central Committee (CC) meeting of the CPN-UML’s Madhav Kumar Nepal faction is underway at a banquet in Buddhanagar, Kathmandu, Thursday afternoon.

The meeting is dwelling on issues related to UML unity and latest political developments, informed Standing Committee (SC) member Bhim Acharya.

A SC meeting was held at the same place earlier. The CC meeting began after the SC meet concluded. Nearly 70 central members are said to be attending the meeting.

Earlier, the SC meeting of the faction floated UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli’s exit as a precondition for the party unification.

The SC meeting also decided to continue rendering efforts for unity until Oli announces a breakaway from the mother party, informed UML leader Metmani Chaudhari.
