Communication service irregular in Kalikot



MANMA: Communication service has become irregular in Kalikot for the past one week.

It has become irregular due to some problems in a tower of Nepal Telecom at Bhartalek of Shuvakalika rural municipality in the district.

A businessman Bhim Prasad Acharya said that Kalikot folks have been deprived of communication service as mobile and landline telephones are not functioning following some problems in the tower.

Problems have surfaced in the service of banks and financial institutions due to disruption of internet service, shared Kalikot Branch manager of Megha Bank, Rohan Kumar Bista.

Service recipients have been facing problems to take banking service due to obstruction of internet service.

A technician at the Nepal Telecom Office, Manma, Topraj Neupane, said that activities are underway to resume the service after carrying out repair and maintenance of the tower.

He added, “Additional equipment has been brought from Nepaljung. The service will be resumed soon.”
