BIRATNAGAR: A provincial assembly meeting of Province 1 is resuming from today.
The meeting had been put off following the endorsement of the budget and policy and programs of the fiscal year 2021/22.
According to Province Assembly Secretary Gopal Prasad Parajuli, the Bill on Agricultural Research will be tabled in today’s meeting which will begin at 1 pm.
The deliberation will begin on the Bill toady itself, according to the Secretariat of the Province.
With the change of leadership in the federal government, the opposition coalition is preparing to change the government in Province 1 as well.
However, the opposition parties have not clarified the process and preparations for the no-confidence motion to give an alternative to the provincial government led by Chief Minister Sherdhan Rai.
