Two siblings die after falling in an electrified trap



BAITADI: Two members of a family have died of electrocution in Baitadi district.

According to District Police Office, Baitadi, Santosh Chand, 21, and Amrit Chand, 18, of Surnaya rural municipality-5, died after coming into contact with an electrified fence set up in a corn field to drive away wild bores. They are siblings.

“Both of them died after they came into contact with an electrified fence set up in a corn field to drive away wild boars Wednesday night,” said Police Inspector Bodhraj Ojha of DPO, Baitadi.

Meanwhile, a team led by Police Inspector Rajesh Shahi, the in-charge of Area Police Office, Patan, has been deployed to the incident site.

Wild boars have been destroying corn crops in many parts of the district.
