Two held for motorcycle theft

SANKHUWASABHA: Police have arrested two persons from Chainpur municipality of Sankhuwasabha on the charge of stealing a motorcycle.

Among those arrested are Sunam Karki, 20, of Phedap rural municipality in Tehrathum and Sandesh Sherpa, 21, of Chainpur in Sankhuwasabha.

Police Inspector Yograj Khatiwada of the Area Police Office Chainpur said that six motorcycles stolen by the accused from the Chainpur Municipality area were recovered.

Police had arrested Suman Karki along with a motorcycle, Ba 96 Pa 3602, from Piluwa in Chainpur-9 on July 26.

It has been revealed from the police investigation that they stole a motorcycle from Chainpur and hid it in Tehrathum.

According to Inspector Khatiwada, five more motorcycles were recovered in coordination with the District Police Office, Tehrathum. Police said they are investigating the theft case after taking the accused under control.
