Addressing a meeting of the National Assembly on Monday, Shrestha said that foreign interference in internal affairs had increased due to PM Oli. Stating that the PM was attacking the constitution and democracy as per design of foreign forces, he said, “PM Oli betrayed national sovereignty.”

“The way he hyped nationalism earlier was a way to deceive. By now, he has completed surrendered to foreign forces,” Shrestha added.

He accused PM Oli of failing to incorporate the topic of encroached land in Eminent Persons’ Group (EPG) negotiations and that he did not adequately check series of interference in internal affairs.

He said, “Instead the PM has invited foreign interference to seriously jeopardize national independence. His actions are unforgivable.”
