Sujita murder case: Locals demonstrate demanding impartial probe



CHITWAN: Locals have staged a demonstration in Chitwan district demanding an impartial investigation into the alleged murder of Sujita Bhandari.

A large number of irate locals blocked the road while her body was being taken to Bharatpur Hospital for postmortem today.

Originally from Rapti municipality-3 in Chitwan district, Sujita’s body was found in the jungle on Sunday evening.

Irate locals have hit the streets at Jhurjhure along the East-West Highway when the police were taking the body to Bharatpur Hospital, demanding proper investigation into the case. Currently, the tension has flared on the Highway.

The body of Sujita Bhandari who went missing from Chitwan since June 25 has been found.

Her body has been found in Brahmasthani community forest in Rapti municipality, said District Police Office, Chitwan.

Sujita had informed her elder sister for the last time over the telephone that she had been kidnapped by three people.

Locals, who had gone to collect wild mushrooms in the jungle, had spotted the body and informed the police on Sunday evening.

Sujita had gone missing since the morning of July 25.
