NEW DELHI: Coca-Cola inc has appointed Devyani Rajya Laxmi Rana, as Vice President, Public Affairs, Communications and Sustainability, India & Southwest Asia.
Devyani, with over 25 years of experience in corporate and government affairs, risk management, strategic business advocacy, communications, sustainability, and CSR, has earlier successfully developed effective strategies to maximize impact in regional infrastructure, environment, governance, and trade, besides being involved in advocacy.
Sanket Ray, President, Coca-Cola, India, and Southwest Asia, commenting on the appointment said, “I am delighted to welcome Devyani on this exciting charter to deepen Coca-Cola’s engagement in the region as she joins the leadership team to spearheads the practice in the region. Devyani brings a wealth of experience in advocating for policies, legislation, trade agreements, and regulations. Her contributions will augment our belief in our purpose even stronger and serve as an acceleration of the work that was already underway.”
Before this appointment, Devyani was Director of Public Affairs for Caterpillar India, Nepal, and Bhutan, before which she worked with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), United Nations (UN) in India, and Schwab Foundation for Social Entrepreneurship, Geneva, Switzerland.
Rana is a daughter of Rashtriya Prajatantra Party Chairman Pashupati Shumsher Rana and is an alumnus of London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), London. She holds a Master’s Degree in Political Science from Tribhuvan University, Kirtipur in Nepal, and a Bachelor of Arts, (Hons.) in Political Science from Lady Shri Ram College, University of Delhi, New Delhi, India.
