NC should convene its general convention in time: Leader Nidhi

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) Vice President Bimalendra Nidhi has stressed the need for convening the party 14th general convention in time.

All party levels should focus on party’s general convention, he said at a virtual dialogue Saturday with the theme of ‘role of Nepali Congress in the present time of crisis’ organized by the NC Kathmandu Liaison Committee.

“Around 800,000 party active members have been registered with the party central office. Party’s general convention should be convened in time after completing the process to register new members,” he said.

On the occasion, NC central committee members Arjun Narsingh KC and Dilendra Prasad Badu blamed the incumbent government for ongoing crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic due to its ‘failure’ to be prepared for timely control.

Likewise, NC leader Puspa Bhusal underscored the need for timely organizing the party general convention.
