Soldier dies in bike accident



JANAKPURDHAM: A soldier has died when his motorcycle collided with a tractor parked at Portaha in Dhanusha district.

According to Dhanusha police, Narendra Giri, 24, a Nepal Army soldier working at Bhimdal Barrack, Saptari died when his bike collided with Na 4 Ta 1682 number tractor parked at Portaha Friday night.

Another 25-year-old soldier Jeevan Tamang, the pillion rider of the bike was injured in the accident.

The tractor was parked at the road as the rear wheel of it had punctured.

Both soldiers were rushed to Karjanha based Phool Kumari Memorial Hospital. Giri died while undergoing treatment in the hospital, the police said.
