NA instructs retired military health workers to return to work



KATHMANDU: Nepali Army has instructed its retired health workers to be prepared to return to service if necessary.

The meeting, chaired by Chief of Army Staff Purnachandra Thapa, has asked former army health workers who have retired from the Nepali Army after 2072 BS to come back to work during the coronavirus crisis.

The army has instructed the retired health workers to be on standby at any time as the coronavirus infection has been on the rise recently and even health workers have been infected and are unable to seek treatment.

The Army has also stated that it is formulating various plans and making necessary preparations to anticipate and implement additional roles to be played by the Nepali Army for the control and prevention of the growing coronavirus in Nepal.
