Full prohibitory order in Jhapa from today midnight



JHAPA: District Administration Office, Jhapa has imposed a full prohibitory order starting today after a partial order was found ineffective.

Chief District Officer (CDO) of Jhapa Shrawan Kumar Timilsina clamped a full prohibitory order from today midnight stating that the movements of people continued despite the partial order.

District COVID-19 Crisis Management Center (DCCMC) recommended a full prohibitory order after the COVID-19 cases increased of late, said CDO Timilsina.

According to Timilsina, the order will come into force from today midnight and continue until May 14 (midnight).

With this decision, vegetable, fruit and grocery shops will remain open only from 6 to 10 am during the period.

Jhapa recorded 162 new cases on Tuesday, taking the active cases of COVID-19 to 741.
