CPN-UML warns of action against members of parallel committees

KATHMANDU: Chief Whip of the CPN-UML Bishal Bhattarai has warned the party will initiate the process of taking disciplinary action against those involved in carrying out parallel activities and members of parallel committees.

Bhattarai said so to the media after the meeting of House of Representatives (HoR) ended in Kathmandu on Monday.

“Like we initiated action against leadership of the disgruntled faction, we will initiate action against those engaging in forming parallel committees and members of such committees,” Bhattarai said.

Earlier, the UML suspended four leaders, including senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal, for six months from the party for their alleged activities carried out against the party policies and interests, and presenting unsatisfactory clarification for their activities.
