Nepse increases by 1.13 points, reaches an all-time high



KATHMANDU: Nepal Stock Exchange Ltd (Nepse) index has increased by 1.13 points, on the second trading day of the week on Monday.

The stock market closed at an all-time high of 2658.78 points.

The index of banks, development banks, finance, non-life insurance, life insurance, and investment groups has decreased today while investors in trade, hotels and tourism, hydropower, construction and manufacturing, microfinance, others, and mutual funds earned today.

Four companies traded at the circuit level on Monday.

The index of the bank has declined by 11 points, development bank by 13 points, non-life insurance by 106 points, and life insurance by 38 points. Investment and finance group remained red below 1 point.

Similarly, the index of Trade increased by 132 points, hotels and tourism by 114 points, hydropower by 46 points, manufacturing by 24 points, others by 33 points, and microfinance by 34 points.

The value of four companies has risen by an average of 10 percent. Prices of NIC Asia Microfinance, Radhi Vidyut, Omi Microfinance, and Sanima General Insurance have increased by an average of 10 percent.

Likewise, Upper Tamakoshi topped the list in terms of turnover. The company had a turnover of Rs 340 million and its price increased by 5 percent and reached Rs 908 per share. Similarly, IME General Insurance had a turnover of Rs. 310 million. Nepal Infrastructure Bank, Himalayan General Insurance, and Nepal Telecom Company had the highest turnover on Monday.

A total of 1,58,53,993 shares of 212 companies have been traded through 73,598 transactions today resulting in an turnover of Rs 7.29 billion.
