Biplav holding one-on-one meeting with PM Oli



KATHMANDU: General Secretary of the Nepal Communist Party, Netra Bikram Chand “Biplav” who went underground two years ago, is holding a one-on-one meeting with Prime Minister KP Oli at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar.

He had entered the Kathmandu Valley Friday morning.

It is learned that he is holding a brief meeting with Prime Minister Oli to come up with the similar voice during the program today.

Prime Minister KP Oli and General Secretary Biplav are sharing the same stage to address a program at the Sabha Griha (City Hall) at Exhibition Road in Kathmandu.

Prime Minister Oli and Biplav will address the program this afternoon in line with the three-point agreement signed between the government and the Biplav group.

He was spotted in Nawalparasi this morning where he paid a visit to the members of a martyr. According to sources, he arrived at Bir Bahadur Saru Magar’s house based at Amarapuri in Nawalpur from Rolpa West on Thursday night.

After visiting the martyr’s family members this morning, he headed towards the capital in a self-arranged vehicle as he refused to board the helicopter offered by the government, said sources.

The three point agreement was signed following two rounds of talks held on Wednesday and another talks on Thursday morning.

Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa from the government side and Spokesperson Khadga Bahadur Bishwokarma alias Prakanda representing the Biplav group signed the agreement.

The government had put a ban on the Biplav outfit on March 12, 2019.
