Biplav en-route to Kathmandu via Nawalparasi

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Oli and Nepal Communist Party General Secretary Netra Bikram Chand alias Biplav are sharing the same stage to address a program in Kathmandu today.

Prime Minister Oli and General Secretary Biplav will address the program today in line with the three-point agreement signed between the government and the Biplav group.

Biplav is coming to Kathmandu this morning to attend the program to be held at City Hall at 2 pm, according to a Central Committee member of the Biplav group.

Biplav refused to board the helicopter provided by the government to come to Kathmandu.

“Biplav refused to board the helicopter offered by the government,” said the CC member, adding, “He was scheduled to come on Thursday night itself, but he couldn’t. He is coming to Kathmandu via Nawalparasi this morning.”

The leader further shared Biplav is coming to the capital in a self-arranged vehicle after vising a martyr’s family members in Devchuli in Nawalpur.

The three point agreement was signed following two rounds of talks held on Wednesday and another talks on Thursday morning.

Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa from the government side and Spokesperson Khadga Bahadur Bishwokarma alias Prakanda representing the Biplav group signed the agreement.

The government had put a ban on the Biplav outfit on March 12, 2019.
