Right ideology leads the party ahead, Prachanda says

KATHMANDU: Chairman of Nepal Communist Party Prachanda-Nepal faction Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said that ideology, policy and guidelines should be right for the development of the pro-people political party.

Addressing the party’s leading cadres in Lalitpur on Friday, the former Prime Minister said that a political party’s strength, development, and all others solely depends on the party’s ideology, political policy, and guidelines.

Recalling the statement of Chinese revolutionary leader Mao Zedong, Prachanda said that people will support if the ideology of a party was appropriate.

On the occasion, he said that some leaders were filled with individualism after the party unification and the agreements and understanding in the party were violated while attempting to impose individualism.

Similarly, Prachanda stated that a struggle against anti-communist trends has initiated.

Prachanda was of the view that achievements obtained from the people’s sacrifices were at risk due to individualism and ambition trends while adding that his party has moved towards people as chances were high for the country’s journey towards a dark tunnel.

Chairman Dahal said that his party was of the official NCP and the claim was made in the Election Commission as more than 70 percent of the party’s central committee members are with the Prachanda-Nepal faction of the NCP.

On the occasion, NCP’s standing committee member Pampha Bhusal said that winning trust of the people was crucial and her party has gone to the people for the same.
