122 inmates in Salyan receive vaccination against COVID-19

SALYAN: A total of 122 prisoners at District Prison in Salyan district have received vaccination against COVID-19 on Friday.

The District Health Service Office collaborated to administer the vaccine to the inmates inside the prison premises. Among the 154 jailbirds in the prison, 122 received the vaccine, according to jailor Bal Bahadur KC.

The vaccination drive was launched in the prison since the inmates were at high risk of COVID-19.

The inmates who had not received any healthcare services for the past year in lack of health workers in the prison were elated in receiving the vaccine.

There are 122 males, 25 women, and 7 minors in the District Prison, Salyan.
