Head Constable dragged to court for graft



KATHMANDU: The Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has filed a case against Head Constable Shanti Bhandari deployed at the Women and Children’s Center, Area Police Office, Belchautara of Tanahun.

According to CIAA Spokesperson Narayan Prasad Risal, Bhandari has been accused of soliciting a bribe of Rs 10,000 from a service recipient saying that a detainee would be released.

The commission had arrested Bhandari a few days ago with a bribe. CIAA has registered a case at the Special Court on Friday.
