President Bhandari issues ordinance relating to disappearance commission



KATHMANDU: President Bidya Devi Bhandari has issued a new ordinance on Friday.

According to the Office of the President, Sheetal Niwas, President Bhandari has issued an ordinance entitled the Commission for Investigation, Verification, and Reconciliation of Disappeared Citizens (Third Amendment) Ordinance 2021 on the recommendation of the Council of Ministers.

The President has issued the ordinance in accordance with Article 114 (1) of the Constitution.

According to the sources, this is the first time the President has issued an ordinance after dissolving the House of Representatives on December 20, 2020, on the recommendation of the Council of Ministers.
