Police nab two with ‘unlawful’ income in Kathmandu

KATHMANDU: Metropolitan police have nabbed two persons from Kathmandu alleging them for failing to establish a valid source for their income worth 1.9 million rupees.

According to the Metropolitan police office Kathmandu, Shanti Ghimire, 30, of Tarakeshwor Municipality-7, Kathmandu and Durga Chaulagain, 31, of Changunarayan Municipality-1, Bhaktapur have been arrested with 1.9 million rupees they possess yet failed to establish the valid source.

The police deployed from the Metropolitan Police Circle found them with the money during a security check-up and arrested them.

They have been sent to the Money Laundering Investigation Department, Harihar Bhawan, Lalitpur for further action.
