Top three leaders including PM Oli to address mass assembly today

200,000 people to participate



KATHMANDU: Three top leaders including Prime Minister KP Oli are scheduled to address a mass assembly of the Nepal Communist Party (NCP) KP Oli faction on Friday.

The mass assembly will be addressed by Prime Minister Oli, Deputy Prime Minister Ishwor Pokharel, and Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa, said a leader close to Prime Minister Oli.

The group is holding a rally in front of the Narayanhiti Palace under the slogan ‘End of Anarchy, Geographical Integrity, Fresh Mandate for Political Stability through Development and Prosperity while Protecting the Constitution’.

Chairman of the NCP Bagmati Pradesh Organizing Committee Ananda Prasad Pokharel said that party leaders, cadres, and supporters from 13 districts of Bagmati Province and across the country would come to the assembly.

According to Pokharel said around 200,000 people will take part in the mass assembly. “Nepali people who love listening to cultural nationalism, nationalism and development will participate in the mass assembly; the number of such people will reach around 200, 000,” claimed Pokharel.

A 1,111-member mass assembly mobilization committee has been formed under the coordination of party Kathmandu Valley Coordinator Krishna Gopal Shrestha to hold the mass assembly.

It is said that rallies will be taken out from 13 places in the Kathmandu Valley before the assembly to be held from 12 noon.

Meanwhile, the faction organized a march pass in the capital ahead of the mass assembly of the faction.
