Hubby ‘hacks wife to death’ in Ilam



ILAM: A woman has gruesomely been murdered at Ambote in Deumai municipality-8 of Ilam district on Tuesday morning.

A 33-year-old Subas Rai allegedly hacked his 27-year-old wife Namrata Rai over domestic dispute at 5 am today, said District Police Office, Ilam.

Acting on a tip-off about the murder, a team of police deployed from Jitpur-based police post took the murder-accused Rai under control.

Police said they are investigating the case and preparing to conduct postmortem on the dead body.
