KATHMANDU: The dense fogs and misty weather have partially affected the flight services across the country. The flights to and from the three airports based in the Tarai did not resume until 10:30 am today.

According to Deo Chandra Lal Karn, Spokesperson at the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), the flights to and from Biratnagar, Janakpur and Bhairahawa airports were adversely affected until 10:30 am today due to poor visibility.

However, the weather did not affect the flight services at the TIA. The flights are operating today.

A least a 1,000-meter visibility is required for the smooth operation of the flights. There is a 4,000-meter visibility in the capital today.

Both domestic and international flights are operating from the TIA today, according to Karn.
