KATHMANDU: Rabindra Mishra, the president of Bibeksheel Sajha Party, has remarked that the change in the country is not possible unless federalism, imposed against the people’s will, is abolished from the country.
Addressing an assembly of his party organized in Jawalakhel, Lalitpur on Saturday, Chairman Mishra said that the so-called big political parties should not dream of achieving socialism by trading education and health. He demanded the government to make education and health free by cutting the budget in other sectors.
Mishra claimed that federalism and secularism are not in the best interest of the country. “Federalism and secularism are imposed in Nepal in the name of progressive change,” Mishra said, adding, “Development is not possible unless federalism is scrapped.”
Objecting to the intrusion of politics in all spheres, including courts, ministries, government offices, police administration, in the name of government salaried employees’ unions, Mishra claimed that even Buddha cannot reform the system until the unions supporting various political parties are not abolished.
