Conspiracy being hatched to weaken democracy: Former CM Pokhrel



DEUKHURI: CPN (UML) leader Shankar Pokhrel has said that the dispute of judges of Supreme Court and launching the agitation is the game to weaken the democracy.

At a news conference organized by Press Chautari Nepal, Dang, here today, stressed that the judiciary should not be made hostage by legal practitioners as well as those well-known laws.

Saying people have been frustrated disappointed due to the activities carried out to stop the progress made by KP Oli-led government in the sector of people’s necessity, infrastructure, and sustainable development, former Chief Minister of Lumbini Province argued that scrap of 1,400 road projects brought by Oli-led government has made a negative impact on the overall economy.

“Although the CPN (UML) is out of the government, it is always with the people and is focused on its upcoming general convention,” he opined.
