Karnali CM Shahi to expand his cabinet after Tihar

SURKHET: Chief Minister of Karnali Province Jeewan Bahadur Shahi will expand his cabinet after Tihar, sources close to him said.

Nepali Congress leader Shahi was appointed as the Chief Minister of Karnali Province earlier this week.

Him Bahadur Shahi, chief whip of the Nepali Congress Karnali Province Assembly, said there was a need for discussion among the ruling partners for the expansion of the cabinet.

According to Shahi, it has not been decided yet which party will get how many ministries.

The CPN-Maoist Center, CPN-Socialist and Nepali Congress are the parties in the Karnali state government.

Karnali will have an eight-member cabinet. The CPN (Unified Socialist) has claimed three ministries.
