KATHMANDU: CPN-Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said that the CPN-UML is without any ideology or principle at present.
Speaking at a program organized by the party Monday, he said the UML possessed only the ‘Sun’ sign with the legacy of Madan Bhandari.
“UML does not have any ideology, it just has the same sun sign, and someone called Madan Bhandari. And, they have been trying to replace Madan Bhandari with KP Oli,” he said. “There is no debate on ideas. Everyone has been working for position and are united by the same zeal.”
Prachanda said they had been under the illusion that the second generation of UML was clear in ideology. “Narayan Kaji and I worked hard for long with them. But in the end, all their ideology and thoughts converged into the sun sign and ended there. What ideology did they have of their own?”
The Maoist Center chairman said his party too might encounter the same problem, and there was a challenge to avoid such a scenario from repeating.
