Govt expansion and swearing in will be held today: Prachanda

'We formed an alliance after Oli's regression'

KATHMANDU: CPN-Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said that the cabinet expansion and the swearing in of the new ministers will take place on Monday.

Addressing the national gathering of the Nepal Intellectuals Association, he said that the cabinet expansion would be completed on Monday.

“The cabinet expansion is to take place today and I have to work on that as well, so I won’t be able to give enough time in this program” he said.

Prachanda accused CPN-UML Chairman KP Oli of foiling the attempt to establish the communist rule in the country and lead the country towards prosperity.

“Oli is trying to undermine the country’s political transformation and communist unity,” he said, adding, “His arrogance and selfishness derailed the communist movement and a good opportunity of leading the country to socialism.”

Maoist Center Chair also claimed that the current political alliance was the need of time and had become inevitable to counter autocratic and regressive activities of then Prime Minister Oli.
